Chicago trip

We (Brad, Caitlin and I) took a short vacation trip to Chicago for the weekend. It was a busy and fun time. We saw both the Blue Man Group perform and the play Wicked! They were both great!! Ask CCG about the Blue Man lobby bathroom music:)
We went to the Brookfield Zoo, rode the trolley around and saw lots of exotic animals. We also ate at the the Billy Goat Tavern, made famous by John Belusi on Saturday Night Live ("Cheeseborger, cheeseborger, no fries-chips, no pepsi-coke"), the food was really delicious and the atmosphere was interesting. There are pictures of lots of famous people who have eaten there, articles written about them and the head of the original Billy Goat is mounted on the wall.
We were very lucky, as the weather was nice for most of the weekend, but it poured rain the entire trip home. Buddy was very glad to see us when we picked him up at the kennel.

Post-wedding celebrating: limo bus ride around town and the reception

More pictures to come...
Here are links to Brad's brother Mark's pictures and Jacki's blog and photosite.
Her blog includes Jillian and Brittan's celebration slideshow that she generously made, and a link to cousin Heidi's video of Brad and his brothers dancing to the 500 mile song (I wanna be). It is a tradition in the Roth family, and everyone joins in after a short time. Fun stuff!

Jillian and Brit's wedding

The wedding went beautifully. The day was about 80 degrees, clear and sunny. The bride was beautiful and everyone was happy. Most of the pictures I took inside didn't turn out very well, as the lighting is not very good in church, so I hope other people or the professional photographer got some good shots. Here are a few pictures...

Wedding rehearsal and reception hall set-up

A fun rehearsal, everyone was so excited. John couldn't fly in until late in the evening, so we missed him.
We had a great time-and the dinner afterwards, catered by The Lunch Box, was delicious (thanks Jerry and Vicki)! The reception hall looked wonderful. We all worked together to set up everything, and Vicki did an awesome job on the centerpieces.
