I am so glad that Jacki was able to come and visit home for a day last week before she returned to North Carolina after her visit to her sister's and the baby shower. Brad and I had a nice walk with her to the nature area near our home where we saw lots of duck families. Then we took a trip to walk around campus and ate at BW3. I also gave Jacki a tour of my lab. She enjoyed checking out my messy desk and the lab equipment and we even took a trip to the fish room where Caitlin will be feeding the fish on weekends. I wish John could have come with her, we really miss them a lot and wish we could be together more often. At least we will be able to see them in July when we visit them before he is deployed for seven months.

I like the pictures of me looking smart, reading a science magazine and looking into a microscope (I almost called it a telescope - shows how smart I *really* am). Picture yourself a scientist!
