Jacki got here at lunchtime and we ate BLTs before heading out to Borders in Novi for the live Mugglecast. It was fun listening to a live podcast and sitting in on the Harry Potter discussion with Jamie, Mikey, Emerson, Ben and Andrew (Caitlin gave me their names).

There were actually quite a few adults there, and not all of them were there with their kids, either. Some of the "more mature" adults even got in line to ask questions for the discussion. Afterwards, The "Remus Lupins" played some Wizard Rock.

Jacki and Caitlin got their Pickle Pack wristbands, which has something to do with the Mugglecast fan base.

It seems to be top secret, because they won't tell me what it means. They are both still waiting for their Pickle Pack t-shirts, too, although we saw a couple of people there were wearing theirs.

Jacki and Caitlin both also got Mugglenet t-shirts, which were kind of clever.

I just read your post...and not having read the Harry Potter books ( except the first one ), I was totally lost. It sounds like you are talking in code!! It is too funny!
our family is full of dorks! :) ~Jillian
Wow, I look waaaay too excited to take that picture with Andrew. I am such a fangirl. How old am I? :)
Hahaha-what fun is it if you can't be dorky once in a while! I think that the average people there were college-aged-the ones who grew up reading Harry Potter from the beginning. There were not a lot of younger kids there.
I have added links to pages that explain some of the things I blogged about. Mugglenet.com is a Harry Potter website, and Mugglecasts are the podcasts they record. The Remus Lupins are a music group named after a character in the books-there are a lot of other ones, Harry and the Potters, Draco and the Malfoys...these are the two that are playing in Ann Arbor Tuesday night, but there are also others. They sing about things that happen in the books. It's fun!
